I created a red and gold, with touched of purple alcohol ink background for my granddaughter's birthday card. I had a lot leftover since it was a full 8-1/2" x 11" sheet. I love the vibrancy of alcohol inks. I was able to create seven more beautiful cards using this background paper.
This card uses the paper for the center of the balloons in this die from My Favorite Things. The outline and strings were cut from gold mirror cardstock. The center of the balloons were cut two times from red cardstock and all the layers were adhered together with liquid glue.
A panel of white cardstock was cut down with a stitched rectangle die and foam tape was added to the back. It was adhered to a top folding A2 cardbase. The balloons were then adhered in place with liquid glue.
The sentiment had been previously hot foiled.
