I had a small piece of the alcohol ink background used on my previous card and decided to use it for a cupcake wrapper.
I pulled out My Favorite Things Cupcakes and Sprinkles and cut the wrapper. For the top of the cupcake I pulled out a scrap of lime green cardstock. The two were adhered together with liquid glue. The image was traced on some sticky back foam and fussy cut out just smaller to fit behind the image.
The main sentiment was cut from Gold Mirror Cardstock and sticky back foam and the two were adhered together by removing the backing paper on the foam. The secondary sentiment was stamped onto the same green cardstock with VersaMark, heat set with gold embossing powder, and cut down using a Pink & Main Sentiment Label. A thin strip of foam was added to the back.
To assemble the card I picked a stitched rectangle that just wide enough for the larger die cut sentiment and the cupcake. A rectangle was cut from white cardstock and then dry embossed with the Darice Basketweave Embossing Folder. I didn't want to add more foam to the back of the panel since it would make it difficult to send through the mail, but it look lost of the front of the cardbase. So, I matted the rectangle with the same green cardstock. That was better, but I decided to mat it again with white and then green to give it a layered look. I liked this much better.
I decided to also dry emboss the front of the cardbase. The cupcake and sentiment were adhered to the stacked rectangles and the panel was adhered to the cardbase with liquid glue. The final embellishment was to add Ranger Crystal Stickles to the top of the cupcake to give a frosted look.
