Alcohol Cupcake Trio Happy Birthday Script

cardtheraphy51

I created a red and gold, with touched of purple alcohol ink background for my granddaughter's birthday card. I had a lot leftover since it was a full 8-1/2" x 11" sheet. I love the vibrancy of alcohol inks. I was able to create seven more beautiful cards using this background paper.

For this card I cut the cupcake wrappers from the alcohol ink cardstock. The frosting was cut from an ivory cardstock and the edges were ink blended with yellow ink left on my blending brush. The two were adhered together with a thin line of liquid glue at the top of the cupcake liner and then foam tape was added to the back.

A panel of white cardstock was cut down using a scalloped rectangle die. A thin gold border was added using an Ellen Hutson Essential Rectangle die, which adhered with liquid glue. Foam tape was added to the back of the panel and then adhered to a landscape A2 cardbase.

The sentiment was cut from gold mirror cardstock. The cupcakes were adhered in place by removing the backing paper on the foam tape and the sentiment was adhered just below with liquid glue.
