A Big Red and Black Birthday Hug

This card uses an images from the My Favorite Things BB Festive Old Friends stamp and die set. It was combined with the My Favorite Things Balloon Bundle stamp and die set, along with Penny Black's Immense Hug die.

I knew I wanted to use red, white, and black on the card. I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. They were then cutout using the coordinating dies.

The large sentiment was cut three times from red cardstock and adhered together with liquid glue.

I went looking through my black and white patterned paper, laying the images on top to see what I liked best. I eventually settled on a grid pattern and cut it down to fit the front of a landscape oriented cardbase. It was adhered in place with dotliner adhesive.

The large "hug" sentiment was adhered at the bottom of the cardfront with liquid glue. Foam tape was added to the back of the old friend and balloon bouquet. They were adhered to be coming out of the opening of the "u" in the sentiment.

A secondary sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink on a scrap of black cardstock and heat embossed white. It was cut down with a sentiment label die and adhered over the "h" in the large sentiment with foam tape.
