I recently purchased some items from Honey Bee Stamps and they gave me a free thank you card with their wisteria flower and leaves. I love getting these because they make quick and easy cards. However, I changed it into a Hello card instead.
I colored the image with Copic Markers and cut it down using an Ellen Hutson Essential Rectangle Die. I love these dies because they not only cut a rectangle, they also cut a thin border. A first I thought I would use the border of the card and glued it in place with liquid glue onto a top folding cardbase. I then added Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape to the back of the wisteria panel and adhered it in place by removing the backing paper.
I had this beautiful hot foil hello die cut and wanted to use it as my sentiment instead of the stamped "thank you" but it was a little too small and you see some of the original sentiment peek out, so I decided to scan the sentiment and cutout a shadow from gold cardstock using the Silhouette Cameo software. It worked great. The sentiment was adhered with foam tape as well.
I liked the card, but I felt it needed a little more pop of color. So, I covered the edges of the card of the cardbase and the edges of the wisteria panel with Post-it Tape and used the darkest purple marker to color the thin border. I liked this much better. In hind sight I would have just cut a border from purple cardstock, it would have been much easier.
