Papertrey Ink's Into the Blooms dies make truly beautiful cards. This uses the Roses dies. There is a large and medium size. All the layers were cut from red cardstock and then a darker ink was blended onto the petals to add depth and dimension when adhering the layers together.
The layers of the flowers were adhered together with low loft foam squares, except the top layer, which was adhered with liquid glue.
The leaves were cut from green cardstock and ink blended with a darker green ink to add visual interest.
To add visual interest behind the images the Crafter's Companion Grand Swirls background die was cut from green cardstock. I had a cardbase from whisper cardstock sitting on my desk that I hadn't used on a previous card. I liked the way the background die and flowers looked on it and used it for this card.
Because foam squares had been used on the layers of the petal, the flowers and leaves were adhered in place with liquid glue.
The sentiment had been previously hot foiled. It was adhered in the lower right of the card.
