There are three ladies at church who are struggling with some personal issues. I was asked to created some cards that several women could sign giving them encouragements.
For this first card I pulled out the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Anemone die set. I love Honey Bee layering dies, they made beautiful flowers and are so easy to align. I cut the anemone layers from a deep red cardstock. I always add ink blending to my layers. I think the flowers are pretty without blending, but they are flat and lifeless. Once the ink blending was done the layers were adhered together with small squares of foam tape to add dimension.
I've made a similar card before, but this time I decided to use a black frame for the flowers and leaves and love the way it turned out. The frame was adhered to a top folding cardbase with liquid glue and the then the leaves and flowers were adhered in place with the same glue.
For the sentiment I couldn't decide if I wanted to use black or gold cardstock. My husband liked the gold best, so I stacked it onto three black die cut words and adhered in above the flowers. A few gold confetti sequins were scattered around the flowers and the card was done.
